Does Alamy have a licensing agreement?
Alamy uses two different types of license agreements. One is a Royalty Free (RF) license and the other is a Rights Managed (RM) license. Contributing photographers license their images. Royalty-free licenses allow buyers to use an image without restrictions while paying a one-time price. You can use this image multiple times on many platforms and use it for many years. However, resale of images may be restricted.
Rights management licenses are more restrictive. A license defines where, when and how an image can be used, and when it can be used. Alamy allows you to filter image searches to find RF or RM licenses.
What is Alamy’s return policy?
Buyer will receive a full refund upon notification to Alamy within 30 days of invoice date. Please contact sales@alamy.com to begin the refund process. Alamy will also reimburse buyers if they discover that any image they purchased is defective. Defective images must be notified to Alamy within 30 days of delivery to be eligible for a refund. In some cases, Alamy may replace defective images rather than issue a refund.
The buyer cannot use the image when requesting a refund. Images that have been used by the buyer may not be eligible for returns. All refunded images must be removed from the buyer’s files.
